# Quickstart

> Make your first request to the Ignite Partner API.

## Get access

Request a sandbox partner API key and an allowed Ignite company ID from [dev@ignite.com](mailto:dev@ignite.com). Include your organization name, technical contact, intended use, and companies you need to access.

## Call the hello endpoint

Set `IGNITE_PARTNER_API_KEY` and `IGNITE_COMPANY_ID` in your shell, then send a request from your backend or terminal:

```

A successful request returns HTTP `200` and `{"message":"Hello, world!"}`. The response also includes `x-request-id` for troubleshooting.
